Sit for a moment and reflect..reflect upon how the world is. look at your neighbourhoods, your towns, your cities and other countries and you can see all those people who have literally nothing. Now look at your life and tell me what you have? probably much more than others…so why are you sitting still get up and do something about it. Imagine for one moment if everything was taken away from you? would you be able to endure it? would you say Alhumdulilah this is Allah’s test? or would you cry and mourn over things?

Allah(SWT) will surely test you with some hunger or poverty. you should always reflect and keep in mind this life is tempory. that house, that car, the clothes you have on are all from Allah and if it was taken away from you it was only to benefit you and not to punish you. so think about that!

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “O God, grant me life as a poor man, cause me to die as a poor man and resurrect me in the company of the poor.” His wife asked him why he said that, and he replied: “Because (the poor) will enter Paradise (before) the rich. Do not turn away a poor man even if all you can give is half a date. If you love the poor and bring them near you God will bring you near Him on the Day of Resurrection.”
(Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1376)

So Love the Poor, Love yourself and help others who are less fortunate. Strive in the cause of Allah and you will never be unhappy.
